Caitlyn Jenner, the reality-TV celebrity and gold-medal-winning Olympic athlete who recently announced a political campaign for California governor, has released a new ad calling out “career politicians” for “destroying” the American dream in the Golden State.

“The American dream grew up here, yet career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream,” says the Californian’s three-minute ad, which first appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday.

“It’s been locked away, closed, shuttered, left in the dark, burned down,” the ad continues. “The government is now involved in every part of our lives. They’ve taken our money, our jobs and our freedom.”

Jenner, a Republican, never mentions current Gov. Gavin Newsom by name—but the ad shows several images of him.

Jenner, 71, came out publicly in 2015 as a transgender woman.

Jenner was married to ex-wife Kris (Kardashian) Jenner for 23 years. The couple, who have two children together, split up in 2013.
